New glass extension for picturesque cottage in Wales

New glass extension for picturesque cottage in Wales

Glass Structures supplied and installed glass box extensions, constructed from structural glass units, for a cottage in the Welsh countryside.

The extension creates a clear frameless space with no visible supports for uninterrupted views of the cottage’s picturesque surroundings.

Using their 3D surveying machine, they were able to obtain perfectly accurate measurements of the old building, enabling them to manufacture the glass correctly.

Arriving on site with their spider crane, Glass Structures installed all the glass panels weighing up to 400KG, completing the project in 5 days.

A frameless glass extension will not alter the appearance of the traditional cottage, bringing modern glass technology which will keep the temperature comfortable year round, thereby minimising energy costs.

The client was delighted with the finished project.
