FAAC Entrance Solutions have supplied their RD3 3.6m diameter three-wing revolving door for Andaz, London, as part of an extensive refurbishment for the luxury hotel.

The existing 4-wing door wasn’t big enough and this affected the flow of traffic, trapping of trailing luggage being the main issue that needed solving.

Working with the lead architect and on-site facility management company, we designed a solution that was aesthetically pleasing and would optimise pedestrian flow within the existing envelope of the main entrance into the hotel.

The RD3 3.6m diameter three-wing revolving door includes concealed activation and safety sensors, which enhances the aesthetics of the RD3 revolving door.

Also featured is an intelligent breakout system, eliminating accidental breakout of the leaves, which can only be activated when the fire alarm is triggered.
