InstaCoustic is pleased to announce the successful completion of the candidate Robust Detail process for its InstaLay 65 Resilient Membrane.
Now registered with Robust Details Ltd under E-FC-13, InstaLay 65 is designed to reduce the transmission of impact sound through floor screed applications.
Being manufactured from recycled rubber, it eliminates the risk of collapse and creep under high point loads enabling the delivery of long term durability and performance against the transmission of impact sound.
Not only does the InstaLay 65 provide environmentally friendly credentials, it can also be used to claim 3 credits under the EcoHomes scheme and 1 credit under the Code for Sustainable Homes.
John Reed, Head of Technical Development says "Use of this system has sparked much interest, particularly amongst our clients who are seeking a high quality, cost effective solution to control impact sound through screed floors. InstaCoustic has always prided itself on its leading edge technology and this development reinforces our commitment to the production of innovative new building materials and technologies for the construction industry."
