D+H UK was chosen to replace an existing smoke system at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen.

The existing smoke ventilation system in place had problems that had been ongoing for a while. A long-term, reliable solution was needed. The vents are over a large atrium and are therefore very difficult to access from the inside. So a new approach that meant easy access to the vents was required.

D+H UK was able to offer an externally mounted waterproof solution to make future maintenance access a lot easier. D+H UK supplied and fitted 24 synchronised pairs of externally mounted ZA-BSY+ WS rack and pinion drives. External waterproof connection points were also installed to allow simpe access and futre maintenance. This was technically a very challenging job but D+H UK managed to create a bespoke waterproof solution.
