We have worked closely with Timberex to develop a new range of wood finishes for both floors and wood products which includes toys, doors, including any kind of wooden joinery.
These products are not available on the open market yet but you can reserve your orders to be the first to get them in 1 litre and 5 litre tubs. Please call for more information and updates on production. All technical literature is in the process of being finalised and printed once all the final testing is complete. This includes abrasion tests, anti-slip testing and final cinal confirmation of full hardening times.
The traditional oils and waxes will remain, what the new products give us is a huge variety of optional finishes with limited downtime on site and a huge range of colour options.
Below is a brief description of each type of product and what they do including drying times and on site downtime.
All these stains and finishes are suitable for Commercial and Domestic applications with easy maintenance and repair options.

PU based finishes
These are a polymer based wood protector with a flexible finish. The Chemists have used the latest technology to create this range which is unique in the market and offers the perfect solution for onsite application. Two coats are applied with 20 minutes between each coat. You must patina the first coat after it is dry to de nib the surface as when it penetrates the raw wood is lifts the grain a little. After which the finish will cure within two hours and is fully hardened for use after 24 hours. This means that floors in commercial premises can be sanded back and the finish applied ready to be opened on Monday if all the work is done on a Sunday. In these difficult economic times this product is a must for every commercial contractor who needs to re-finish floors or apply a finish on site.
The other very important benefit of this product is that the PU finish is a colour finish so there is no stain below and it has a silky satin finish.
