In May 2011, Trespa International opened a new Trespa Design Centre in Barcelona.

The Trespa Design Centre, which showcases design solutions by Trespa International and its sister-company Arpa Industriale, offers a unique experience. It's not only a showcase for exterior and interior design concepts, but also a unique and inspirational location for meeting, learning and networking with architects throughout Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain and Europe.

The main purpose of the Trespa Design Centre is to meet and inspire the large concentration of trendy and innovative architects – and to demonstrate commitment to the Spanish architectural community. According to Trespa’s Commercial Director Aart-Jan van der Meijden, Barcelona was selected as the ideal location, after extensive research: “Barcelona has both a rich architectural heritage – and is a vibrant centre of modern architecture, much like New York and Shanghai.”

Trespa’s new Design Centre is located in El Born, a very modern and stylish area with trendy and upmarket shops, cafes, restaurants and bars – a conscious choice says Mr. van der Meijden: “The Centre’s proximity to the Architectural College is important, however, our key consideration was that we wanted it be in a dynamic and fashionable part of town where people want to spend time. In El Born, we have found a place that combines fashion, food and fun.”
