Mrs Knight from Hertfordshire is delighted with her new Westbury orangery. The new garden room has magnificent views on three sides and its space and light is a wonderful addition to the monthly Quite and Painting Days she runs for her church.
The orangery was a particular challenge for the Westbury team as the Grade II listed building; a characterful 17th century timber framed building had been refused planning permission several times before. However a sympathetic design from the technical team, blending the new with the hold saw permission granted and the build began! Two sets of French doors lead onto the garden, unusually using a black frame with white interior to create impact.
Mrs Knight said, I am really thrilled with my orangery which is being thoroughly enjoyed by the family and all who come to the Cottage. I would happily recommend Westbury: The workmanship was outstanding and all the teams involved were professional and courteous and the project management outstanding"
