New Westbury orangery for Hertfordshire cottage

New Westbury orangery for Hertfordshire cottage

Mrs Knight from Hertfordshire is delighted with her new Westbury orangery. The new garden room has magnificent views on three sides and its space and light is a wonderful addition to the monthly Quite and Painting Days she runs for her church.

The orangery was a particular challenge for the Westbury team as the Grade II listed building; a characterful 17th century timber framed building had been refused planning permission several times before. However a sympathetic design from the technical team, blending the new with the hold saw permission granted and the build began! Two sets of French doors lead onto the garden, unusually using a black frame with white interior to create impact.

Mrs Knight said, “I am really thrilled with my orangery which is being thoroughly enjoyed by the family and all who come to the Cottage. I would happily recommend Westbury: The workmanship was outstanding and all the teams involved were professional and courteous and the project management outstanding"
