Norbord’s premium grade CaberWood MDF is fuelling the growth of one of Fife’s fastest-growing business start-ups. Fine Features, based in Cupar, manufactures display units and novelty furnishings for retail, events and hospitality clients.

Nearly all of Fine Features’ products are made from 6mm, 12mm and 18mm CaberWood MDF.

The Candy Cart is Fine Features’ most popular product and several hundred have been sold to wedding companies and big businesses including Rowntree and Asda.

“Everything is machined out of solid MDF” says Blair. “Each wheel is carved out of one piece, spokes and all. The only parts of the Candy Cart that are not MDF are the newels and the spindles supporting the canopy. I only use Norbord’s CaberWood MDF – the best! - because I’ve found that it has a consistent density and good ‘end-grain’ finish.”
