Type of works: supply of performance doors and doorsets for a new 6th Form block.

With a wealth of experience within the education sector and as a local doorset supplier, Leaderflush Shapland was the natural choice to supply performance doors and doorsets for the new, state of the art 6th Form block at the prestigious Nottingham High School.

Founded in 1513, Nottingham High School has been a place of inspirational learning for a number of public figures including DH Lawrence and Jesse Boot, founder of the chemist’s Boots. Dedicated to providing only the best for their pupils, Nottingham High School specified 78 performance doors and doorsets from Leaderflush Shapland’s Designer and Plasform® ranges.

All the doors and doorsets supplied incorporate EnduraCor, a cost-effective engineered performance core exclusive to Leaderflush Shapland. EnduraCor is the most durable core construction available to the market, meeting and exceeding the DD171 ‘Severe Duty’ mechanical strength rating by up to 1,000 impacts. As such, EnduraCor is the perfect solution for the education environment providing a durable doorset able to withstand harsh day to day impact associated within a school environment.

The Plasform®, post-formed doorsets within the food preparation area were specified incorporating the innovative high impact PVC facing option, Hygieniform, another exclusive from Leaderflush Shapland. Hygieniform incorporates Hygienilac® – an antimicrobial additive which kills harmful bacteria including C.diff and MRSA. Due to easy-to-clean, flush surfaces, Plasform® doorsets together with Hygieniform were the ideal solution for the food preparation area where hygiene is paramount.
