A memorable moment for Rundum Meir was when Rundum Meir supplied the oak-clad overhead sectional doors for the renovation of the old Territorial Army stores.

Because of the massive weight of solid oak, there was also a requirement to design a direct drive mechanism that does not depend on counterbalance springs, which then safeguards proper reliability in spite of the enormous weight on the door as the season changes.

The large door design for this eminent award-winning development was about 7500 mm wide by 4000 mm high. The weight of the door was 1000 kg, and it also got featured at the rear of the Saatchi Art.
