10,000 sq m of Rigidal’s Ziplok standing seam system, in a weathered copper finish, have been used to provide the finishing touch to the roof and walls of Belfast’s Victoria Square shopping centre – Northern Ireland’s largest ever property development.
In addition, 3,000 sq m of the Ziplok incorporate a sedum green roof which will make a significant contribution to the environment around the whole centre and help reduce the carbon footprint by removing pollutants from the atmosphere, increasing oxygen levels and reducing carbon dioxide levels.
The dazzling glass dome with its viewing platform looks out over the gently curving standing seam roofs topped with the sedum green roof, allowing the estimated 70 million visitors a year to the centre a perfect view of the roofscape, installed for RigiSystems by Thornton Roofing.
