Orona 3G lifts achieve high levels of energy savings

The combination of Orona’s high manufacturing capacity and design and research of vertical transport products has contributed to achieving excellent levels of energy efficiency in Orona 3G lifts.

Orona gearless drives provides one of the highest energy efficient solutions available in the market, achieving motor efficiency of 90%. Its energy consumption is 70% lower compared to a hydraulic lift and 50% lower compared to a two-speed electric traction lift.

Orona 3G lifts also offer as standard LED lighting with automatic switch-off, which provide an 80% energy saving in the total energy consumption of an elevator. In addition, LED lighting provides a longer lifetime and also enhanced lighting levels.

The electric regeneration drive system allows a lift to generate power through its own movement, when ascending with light loads or descending with heavy loads. This means improved energy efficiency for the installation, producing an energy saving and thus a potential saving in cost. The power generated by the Regenerative drive system can be fed back into the grid so that it can be used by any other system connected to the network.

Furthermore, when the lift is not in use, car lighting, ventilation, signalisation displays and other equipment are temporarily switched off to reduce unnecessary energy consumption.
