Furnitubes has provided its Zenith benches range as part of a large scale project at Cheltenham Racecourse.

The dramatic work undertaken at Cheltenham included the construction of the new five-and-a-half-storey grandstand with a capacity for 6,500 spectators, new hospitality boxes, a royal box, and a premium super club on the top floor.

In addition to the construction of the new grandstand, the area outside the entrance to the racecourse also underwent a significant programme of improvement, with new paving and street furniture.

Main project contractors Kier selected the highly popular Zenith benches as the preferred choice of external seating for the site. Forty one benches were supplied in total, all in stainless steel with iroko timber slats.

The benches were placed in a variety of different arrangements in the open space outside the entrance to the racecourse, with both straight and curved benches used to create visual interest.

The new benches provide a welcoming public seating space outside the racecourse for large numbers of visitors, whilst truly enhancing the aesthetics of the whole entrance area.
