Over 680 Natural History Museum doors maintained by Gilgen Door Systems

Gilgen Door Systems UK has won a contract to provide planned preventative maintenance and reactive services for the world famous Natural History Museum, London.

Appointed by Emcor, Gilgen maintain and repair over 680 automatic doors, roller shutter doors and fire personnel doors on three sites, Kensington, Tring and South London Stores. Gilgen undertake two visits per year to carry out preventative maintenance, and generate door numbering schedules, condition reports, site maps and repair quotations to ensure efficient asset management. This type of planned preventative maintenance helps to maximise the value of the doors, will ensure employee and visitor safety, prolong the door life and ensure legislative compliance.

The completion of asset labelling and numbering, asset reports, door history and floor plans will help us to maintain these doors effectively and provides our client with an ongoing view of their assets”,
