A growing number of businesses are increasing storage space through the use of mezzanine floors and utilising roof space to locate such things as plant, motor and boiler rooms. For homeowners, the loft is popular for storage of both wanted and unwanted items.
Whatever the application, access is vital and more and more specifiers and contractors are turning to UK-based Premier Loft Ladders for the most practical and convenient access solutions available for use in new buildings and refurbishments. In the domestic market, Premier is the number one loft ladder choice.
Leading the way is the Supreme range of superbly engineered aluminium concertina-style, easy-to-fit, counter balance stairways, all available with an impressive choice of industry-leading options.
These include a laminated wood trapdoor and lining and a weatherproof, insulated roof hatch. Normally supplied with a single seal at the top of the lining for when the roof hatch closes, the unit can now be offered with a double seal to the roof hatch to improve energy saving. The standard seal would allow up to 35mm of insulation around the outside of the hatchbox, whereas the special double seal can allow anything between 80 to 120mm.
Additional accessories include electrical operation, 30 or 90 minute fire resistant casings, vertical access, suspended ceiling application, top operating mechanism, insulated trapdoor, telescopic handrail and upper level guardrail.
The Supreme has a maximum floor to ceiling height up to 4,600mm - for flat roof access.
The aluminium range also includes the Mini, Elite, Picocolo and Piccolo S ladders. The Mini complete with wooden hatchbox and trapdoor is designed for use in the smaller hatch sizes. The Elite, with counter balance springs, has options which include a special accessory hinge for operation in a vertical access and a telescopic handrail. The Piccolo S and Piccolo concertina style ladders are spring operated and manually operated, respectively.
Premiers wooden range comprises a choice of three-part folding and two-part folding ladders, this range includes the Classic Type 500 which, when folded, sits on top of a spring loaded trapdoor, and the Classic Twinsafe Type F30 offering a 30 minute fire-resistant trapdoor. Also, theres the competitively priced Escafix - a ready-to-fit unit complete with a hatchbox and a white coated insulated trapdoor.
All Premier ladders are manufactured to EN 14975 (DN 4570) standards and Premier will match the price of any like for like product found at a lower price elsewhere.
