Propelair helps Cornwall Sustainable Building Trust cut waste

Propelair® Limited, the UK designer and manufacturer of the revolutionary 1.5 litre flush toilet, is working with Cornwall Sustainable Building Trust to cut water use, minimise carbon footprint, boost hygiene and save money.

The company is installing two of its toilets at the construction charity’s Green Build Hub, a ‘living laboratory’ of eco-build products, located at the Eden Project near St Austell, which will deliver objective performance data and training programmes.

Representatives of Propelair and CSBT met at the Eco Technology Show in Brighton in 2014 and decided to look for opportunities to collaborate on new products.

Paul Bright, CEO of Cornwall Sustainable Building Trust, said: “The sustainability and hygiene benefits of Propelair were very persuasive and we are keen to showcase this breakthrough building technology and to monitor its performance.”

Garry Moore, CEO of Propelair, said: “Like CSBT, we are committed to a sustainable future and its choice of Propelair not only provides a big endorsement of the technology, but also widens our customer base. This now includes The Royal Bank of Scotland, several UK local authorities and many more. People increasingly appreciate the environmental and hygiene as well as the real financial benefits of our water-saving toilets.”

Propelair is fully accredited, exceeding all key environmental standards. As it produces less sewage, less treatment is required, reducing carbon emissions and lessening the emptying of holding tanks, saving more money.
