Protektor gives you a glimpse of a more sustainable future for drywall.

Today sustainable concepts for tomorrow are in greater demand than ever before. Now, following years of engineering development in the field of metal profiles, Protektor has taken significant steps forward. The invention of state-of-the-art manufacturing technology based on cutting and shaping processes has enabled the production of metal drywall profiles without producing waste material.

Protektor’s new Maxi-Tec range originally launched at Bau in Munich in 2011 shows how ecology, economy and ergonomics can be combined in drywall construction systems and it will be unveiled for the first time in the UK at Ecobuild on the Protektor stand.

The new Maxi-Tec products use less raw material in the manufacturing process when compared to traditional drywall products, which in turn means reduced energy consumption and less CO2 emissions.

Less weight than that of standard products ensures a significant reduction in the energy input required for installation – a big benefit in respect of transportation and in ergonomic terms.

Protektor’s innovative technology, pioneering product design and efficient production processes guarantee that Maxi-Tec is an economic choice and Maxi-Tec systems meet or exceed the product and system requirements according to EN and DIN standards in terms of stability / structural strength, fire and sound insulation. Test certificates from internationally accredited institutes are available.

In addition to Maxi-Tec, Protektor, which is one of Europe’s leading brands, manufactures other profiles in the UK and Germany in galvanised steel, stainless steel and aluminium for a variety of applications. Our range, which also includes Delsys PVCu beads, probably represents the most comprehensive range of profiles available to the UK finishing industry.
