PVC beads at the seaside

PVC beads at the seaside

Renderplas PVC beads have been used for the renovation of a Victorian kiosk on the Brighton seafront.

As part of the project the wooden framed Shelter Hall Kiosk was dismantled and relocated to its new home on the Upper Prom, 200 meters away from its original location.

Although metal beads were originally specified, Renderplas PVC beads were chosen for the internal plasterwork to ensure there would be no rust or bleed through the plaster.

The British and European Standard for the design and application of external render (BS EN 13914-1:2016) stipulates that only PVC beads and stainless steel beads can be used in applications of high atmospheric moisture and background salt.

Renderplas white corner and stop beads, used on the project, are made from 100% recycled, exterior grade, impact resistant, UV stable PVC, and are guaranteed for 25 years, meaning no costly repair bills.
