Queensbury’s G2 Shelters installed at Blaydon Bus Station in Tyne-and-Wear

These G2 Shelters were installed on time and to budget at Blaydon Bus Station. The four shelters are each 9.6m in length and 2.8m wide.

The shelter was developed to provide an attractive and functional solution for this particular application, of special importance was the shelter’s ability to accommodate sloping sites and the requirement for identification of stand numbers.

Each shelter can incorporate all the functions required by modern passenger facilities including: LED Lighting, electronic real time information, information modules including TFT screens and help points, seating, timetables, integral CCTV and solar-powered lighting.

The shelters are available in a number of different widths and lengths to suit the most challenging of sites. The shelters were manufactured at Queensbury’s Portsmouth Manufacturing base and installed and project managed from the company’s Gateshead Depot.
