N&C Phlexicare’s Radar Lock and Key scheme offers easily accessible disabled toilet facilities across the country.
The concept behind the Radar Lock and Key is to offer all less abled people independent access to locked public toilets via the National Key Scheme with their own radar lock key.
Locked public toilets have become necessary in some locations to ensure that they are not used inappropriately and are kept safe for users, the radar lock and key scheme allows disabled people that own a radar key to access the toilet as of when needed without any inconvenience or time wasted.
The Radar lock has been tested to BSEN12209:2003, meets EN1970:2007 Grade 5 and satisfies the requirements set in the Equality Act 2010.
Schemes like this are supported by Paralympian Anne Wafula Strike, who has recently spoke out about issues like this as she herself had a negative experience whilst on-board a train with no accessible toilets.
