In another development aimed at benefiting contractors and merchants, Alumasc is undergoing a ‘service revolution’ leading to dramatic improvements in delivery times across its range of trusted Rainwater products.

Alumasc has long enjoyed its unique position as manufacturer of the most comprehensive range of Rainwater Systems in the UK. However, following his appointment in 2010, Paul Hetherington, Managing Director of Alumasc Rainwater and Harmer Drainage, has spearheaded a complete transformation in product lead times.

Aluminium and Cast Iron rainwater systems were first to experience a service overhaul, with the most popular products being made available ex-stock with an unrivalled lead time of 3 days – and Express Next Day delivery for urgent projects. This has now been followed by much faster delivery times for Alumasc’s Skyline fascia soffit systems.

With immediate effect, standard ‘made to order’ items such as Skyline flashings and copings with simple design requirements, are available within 10 working days rather than the previous 25. More complex designs and fixtures requiring special manufacture can also be turned around quickly, for which Alumasc’s technical department will confirm lead times on request.

To achieve these unrivalled delivery times, Alumasc is making major investments in its production and administration processes. The streamlining of product complexity has allowed standard products to be modified and manufactured to meet customer requirements more quickly, whilst the introduction of new software has allowed greater transparency and control of manufacturing and fulfilment.

Alumasc Skyline fascia soffit components give architects great scope in design and specification, for traditional and contemporary projects, whilst providing contractors with simple, well proven fixing methods and concealed bracketry to ensure speed and economy of installation. Finished in a BBA approved polyester powder coating, Skyline is available in any standard RAL colour, it offers a virtually maintenance-free installation for the lifetime of a building.
