Birmingham based Husbands is celebrating winning seven contracts with top restaurants and bars across the country to supply both food service and passenger disability lifts.
A total of 15 food service lifts and 2 disabled platform lifts - worth more than £100,000 to the Halesowen based manufacturer and supplier are being installed.
Three restaurants are in the new retail centre in Oxford Castle, La Tasca, Ha Ha Bar and Tootsies. Others include La Vina in Leeds, which is part of the La Tasca group, Tootsies in Ipswich, Richmond and Norwich and two London restaurants - the Vault Bar in Belgravia and the Sienna Restaurant in Uxbridge. The company is also installing two food service lifts at the Hallion in Glasgow.
These contracts come close on the heels of a number of previous installations in well-known restaurants and bars such as Pitcher & Piano, Masala World, Pizza Hut and Cocoon.
Husbands managing director Keith Holmes who bought the 40-year old business last year says he is delighted with the success his company is currently having within the restaurant and bar industry. He comments:
Husbands has traditionally been very active within this sector but business has really taken off in the last few months and we are supplying more and more outlets. Much of the business is repeat orders for restaurant chains, which is an excellent endorsement of our product and service.
All the lifts will be manufactured at our base in Shelah Road, Halesowen and installed and maintained by our engineers. To meet the demands of a significant increase in orders we are training our manufacturing staff to become multi-skilled which we are confident will boost production and give our workers additional skills.
