Retractable spectator seating at the Lagoon Leisure Centre

Retractable spectator seating at the Lagoon Leisure Centre

CPS Manufacturing Co have designed, manufactured and installed 368 retractable spectator seats for the sports hall at the Lagoon Leisure Centre.

They worked in partnership with Jezet Seating and the Lagoon Leisure Centre to ensure the seating met all of the sports centre’s requirements.

Two units of fully electronic, motorised retractable seating were installed into the sports hall, the first unit included 176 seats and the second unit featured 192 seats.

The seats were auto-tipping to make them easier to store, with spectator seats made from wood to match the sport’s hall wooden floors.

Retractable seating was chosen for the sports hall, so the seating could be stored away when not in use and brought out when spectators want to watch events.

The retractable seating makes the best use of the space available, and allows the venue space to be used flexibly, minimising required storage space.
