Around 4000m² of RigiSystems Ziplok have been used to stunning effect on the roof of the new Botwell Green Leisure Centre in Hayes, Middlesex.
The £16m facility includes swimming pools, fitness suite, exercise studios, sports hall, library and fully equipped gymnasium all under a Ziplok roof, which includes every panel option available straight, self-curved, pre-curved and tapered. Panels were supplied both factory manufactured and site rolled in the case of the longer sheets.
RigiSystems assisted in the roof design from the outset, and the project also includes RigiSystems aluminium structural decking, both perforated and unperforated, to support the roof panels and comply with the acoustic requirements of the various facilities.
Architects were Burke Rickhards, with main contractor GB Building Solutions and the roofing was installed by Emprose Specialist Cladding.
RigiSystems' Ziplok is a BBA approved, advanced zip-up standing seam system that offers exceptional weather resistance and durability. It is particularly suited to swimming pools and leisure centres owing to its range of acoustic and thermal performances.
