Ropetackle, Shoreham-by-Sea

Ropetackle, Shoreham-by-Sea

Client: Berkeley Homes
Type of works: supply of DW Windsor's Dover luminaire with flat glass, ensuring zero light pollution.

CEP (Civil Engineering Practice) and Berkeley Homes were looking for a modern range of luminaires and columns to complement their newly transformed Ropetackle scheme, an exciting waterfront development in the centre of Shoreham-by-Sea. They found their answer with the help of DW Windsor’s popular Dover luminaire with flat glass, ensuring zero light pollution.

The distinctive scheme, comprising over 180 residential dwellings and dedicated business space also utilises raise and lower columns from DW Windsor, for exceptional ease of maintenance using its quick and simple mid-hinged design.

The once derelict site, developed by the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA), in conjunction with Berkeley Homes, is set to become a pioneering model for future sustainable developments throughout the South-East, winning the Sustainable Awards’ Sustainable Development of the Year in 2006.
