Architect: IGLOOS in-house design team
Type of works: design and construction of a personal office washroom.
The brief was to design and construct a washroom with limited space, for an innovative client situated in the countryside.
The client wanted a traditional feel with modern technology discreetly integrated into the design.
IGLOOS met this criteria and designed a washroom using a mixture of natural materials and water-saving technology. The infinity basin was custom made using Black granite, incorporating a counter-top bin inlet.
The warmth of natural oak for the toilet seat, skirting, scotia and shelf unit complemented the oak floor.
The technology used included a mixed valve infra-red tap to assist in water-saving, as well as an infra-red flush panel for the toilet. The client was insistent from the outset that a more hygienic environment was created.
