Type of works: supply of Structura and Pallas carpet tiles.

Desso has supplied the new office headquarters of Save the Children in London, with Structura and Pallas carpet tiles. The combination of these products was chosen to create a fresh and contemporary office environment, while being cost effective and of a high quality.

“We helped specify the flooring,” said Des Montague, from the Pirin Group, contractors working on the project. “Desso offered a huge range of textile flooring solutions of an excellent quality, that were easy to install.” Fredereck Sage were the main contractors on the Save the Children project and are part of the Pirin Group.

In the main areas of the five-floor building, Structura Maze, a hardwearing, sculptured loop-pile carpet tile, was the obvious choice to bring in a strong aesthetic. A Light Grey colour was used for the main areas, with Royal Blue highlights dividing areas into different zones and forming walkways to guide people around the office.

Pallas carpet tiles were installed in all the meeting rooms around the building. A multi-coloured structured loop pile, Pallas carpet tiles are durable, attractive and easy to maintain, ensuring the meeting rooms always look in perfect condition.

Henry Durrant, facilities manager at Save the Children, commented on the results: “We are delighted with the flooring from Desso. Not only is it stylish and contemporary but it is also practical for our offices and represents exceptional value for money.”
