Security bollards for Dubai Design District

Security bollards for Dubai Design District

Furnitubes has provided its Zenith range of sloped bollards for the Dubai Design District. The district was developed in 2015, the design originated from the UAE Prime Minister, Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid al Moktoum as a result of a vision he had. The vision was to create a purpose-built community dedicated to promoting and nurturing emerging local talent and providing a creative home to established international design, luxury and fashion brands.

The new development is situated beside Dubai Creek and is adjacent to Dubai’s Business Bay. With a mix of various facilities including residential, hospitality, retail and office space, the district is fast becoming a vibrant local hub. The area also has a 1.8 km waterfront development which will be populated with food and beverage outlets, hotels, retail outlets and a multi-use outdoor space.

Main groundwork contractor W T Burdens approached Furnitubes with the need for a large number of security bollards that were due to be installed around the perimeters of the development. Zenith sloped top bollards were the product of choice, all supplied in stainless steel with a satin polish. Following the installation of nearly 250 bollards, it was clear that the simplicity of the design perfectly complemented the area, with positive feedback coming from members of the local community.
