Siberian Larch Battens feature on RIBA award winning design

Farnworth House is a self-build project of monumental stature. Located in the stunning Cheshire countryside and adjacent to a grade II* listed Church, this stunning new build home was designed by architects Smith Young.

Externally, the building is set on a sandstone base with contrasting glass pavilions located throughout. The exterior timber is constructed using Silva's 21x44mm Siberian Larch battens, combined with a bespoke larch board profile. Both elements were factory coated in Sansin SDF half-pigment driftwood.

This project was nominated for and subsequently won the RIBA North West Award 2019.
