Ease of use and value for money were the key drivers behind the selection of SIEGENIA-AUBI-KFV aluminium window hardware for a new build care facility in Scotland and an apartment block refurbishment in Liverpool.
The projects were managed by the Glasgow-based SRS Group. The firm delivers a complete building exteriors package to customers all over the UK and has been working with SIEGENIA-AUBI-KFV for three years, using its tilt and turn hardware in a range of installations.
Ron Kavanagh, commercial manager for the SRS Group glazing division, says, When it comes to tilt and turn windows, we only ever use SIEGENIA-AUBI-KFV hardware. Were familiar with the tooling, its a quick and easy product to use and its great value for money.
Working in partnership with FM Developments, SRS Group oversaw the over cladding of the 15-storey Bispham House building in Liverpool and the replacement of 400 aluminium tilt and turn windows using SIEGENIA-AUBI-KFV LM4200 hardware.
Work on the new Kirkintilloch care facility, near Glasgow, is nearing completion and has involved the installation of 300 new windows, which also feature LM4200 hardware.
SIEGENIA-AUBI-KFV regional sales manager, Ian McFarlane, says, Aluminium has seen a resurgence in recent years and its a popular choice, particularly in high rise applications where its relatively low maintenance requirements really come into their own.
SIEGENIA-AUBI-KFV LM4200 is a clampable hardware system for aluminium windows with a sash weight up to 130kg. Its pre-fitted components make for quick and easy assembly, saving valuable fabrication time and enabling fabricators and specifiers to enjoy the durability, maintenance and aesthetic benefits of aluminium windows.
