SoundFlex® the acoustic board division of Accordial Wall Systems Ltd has just successfully completed a large installation of decorative acoustic wall panelling at the new Doncaster Civic Centre.

The contract worth over £500k has just won the Project of the Year by The Chartered Institute of Building.

The project consisted of 450 linear metres of natural oak veneered boards to the balconies with balustrades, which were finished with solid oak capping.

The five stair/lift cores on all four floors were covered with over 1400 m² of continuously slotted laminated fire rated acoustic boards, all finished in the clients own individual colours.

The chamber was without doubt the centre piece of this stunning project with oak veneered absorption panels to the walls, and curved balustrades, other finishing joinery to window and door reveals was included in the project.

All works were supplied and installed by Accordial Wall Systems working in conjunction with the architects Cartwright Pickard.
