Simplifying access for patients and busy staff at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital in Clydebank, TORMAX automated four internal swing door entrances using their advanced iMotion 1301 operators. Powered by almost wear-free AC synchronous motors, iMotion door drives require minimal ongoing maintenance in order to continue delivering incomparable levels of reliability.
A significant resource for Scotland, the Golden Jubilee National Hospital has approximately 1,500 staff. It is home to key heart and lung services, is a major centre for orthopaedics and is the flagship hospital for reducing waiting times in key elective specialties.
TORMAX iMotion motors do not feature any gears or brushes key elements that generally require regular replacement due to wear and tear. This design ensures high levels of reliability, even when installed in areas of near-constant use such as the Golden Jubilee. Combining such longevity with a recyclable content of nearly 95% and low-energy operation, iMotion also represents a sustainable solution. Designed in-house, all iMotion operators are fully compliant with CE and RoHS standards and are tested in excess of current industry requirements of one million cycles.
Two further sets of TORMAX automatic swing door operators are shortly to be installed at the Hospital.
