Metal Technology has supplied its latest design Tilt Turn and Tilt Slide doors to 37 high specification luxury apartments on the site of the former Sloane School at Hortensia Road, Chelsea.
Designed by architects Dixon Jones, this classic enabling scheme redevelops the Kensington & Chelsea College site which previously occupied the Grade II listed Sloane Building. The new development includes the Hortensia Centre for the College to the south side of the site and apartments, with prices ranging from £0.5m to £5m for the penthouse suite, to the north junction with the Fulham Road. A further apartment complex will be created with the conversion of the Sloane Building itself.
The Metal Technology 5-20 thermally enhanced Tilt and Turn window and Tilt and Slide door suite offers a high quality thermally efficient system with a range of structural mullions, vents and outer frames providing designers flexible solutions to meet all their thermal, structural and aesthetic requirements. Finishes can vary internally and externally, adding to the design possibilities, while the intrinsic qualities of aluminium infinite recyclability, durability, strength and lightness mean it is one of the most sustainable building materials in use today.
