GEZE’s brand new Slimdrive SL GGS system has made its UK debut at Modern Art Oxford, where it has been selected to form a minimalist glass entrance to the gallery and provide a contemporary backdrop to the new indoor-outdoor exhibition space.

Architects dRMM were commissioned to transform the ‘delivery’ courtyard into a vibrant contemporary art and social space within Oxford’s city centre. GEZE UK designed an entrance that looked like a virtually seamless glass wall, set into the brickwork of the gallery.

Complementing the Modern Art Oxford’s industrial look are two glass panels that frame the Slimdrive SL GGS automatic sliding door system, making the entrance as distinctive as it is accessible. Operated by the unique 7cm drive unit, it features high-grade stainless steel fittings that hold the glass doors, removing the need for unsightly door rails. The result is unparalleled transparency and unrivalled aesthetic appeal.

Modern Art Oxford’s press and marketing assistant Kayleigh Hellin said: “Shortlisted for a number of international awards, the Yard has been transformed into an open, inclusive, accessible area that showcases exhibitions and events, bringing art to the public.
