D+H UK supplied and installed Smoke & Natural Ventilation Controls for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.

The Alder Hey in the Park project is the first of its kind in Europe, built entirely in a park with a design inspired by children. The redevelopment has created a world class, patient-friendly hospital, making a massive difference to 270,000 patients and families who visit.

D+H UK supplied and installed smoke and natural ventilation control panels, drives, containment systems and wiring.

Working closely with the design and management team from Crown House Technology, the project was delivered on time and within budget. High level windows are prioritised to ventilated smoke. A second bank, triggered by BMS provides cross flow with façade windows as part of the passive ventilation scheme.
