To meet the rising demand for its well engineered and cost-effective Optima range of metal rainscreen cladding and architectural fabrications, Sotech has more than trebled its production capacity following a £1 million investment in its second County Durham manufacturing plant.
This significant move sees the creation of a new 38,000 sq ft factory which, when combined with Sotechs existing premises, provides a production facility of over 65,0000 sq ft.
As part of the companys ongoing business expansion strategy, Sotech has made good use of its extra space by investing heavily in some of the very latest manufacturing equipment. Speed of production and output, has been vastly improved with minimal operator attendance, following the acquisition of the state of the art Pullmatic 720 punching machine complemented by two additional CNC controlled brakes presses. Sotech has also invested in two new CNC flat bed routers that will facilitate the bulk production of the increasingly popular ACM panels.
Additionally, Sotech has enhanced the communication infrastructure between the two sites and has invested in bespoke co-developed computer software to improve and streamline all procedures from enquiry through to production and invoicing.
Recruitment of experienced personnel is also helping Sotech to build on its already successful standing in the UK market and the companys most recent appointment is Charlie McLaughlin to the position of UK Sales Manager. In his new role, Charlie will help to drive the companys ongoing business development by working more closely with specifiers, main contractors and installers across the country to promote the benefits of Sotechs established Optima range of engineered metal rainscreen and developing suites of architectural cladding
