Sound control at London Design Museum

Sound control at London Design Museum

Acoustic Products provided their Topakustik Micro Perforated acoustic panels to manage sound inside The Design Museum, London.

Topakustik Micro Perforated acoustic panels are ideal for managing the reflective nature of the walls and ceilings within a public space.

The extremely specific design of the wall panels in the Design Museum means that the panels work to absorb sounds and reduce the refection so as to increase the calming effect of the area.

Consideration of the space, its use and nature have allowed the architect John Pawson to achieve their desired effect in preserving and enhancing the original structure’s inherent architectural qualities, whilst also accommodating the requires of a busy Museum.

A bespoke solution was provided by Acoustic Products to deliver the product with an Oak veneer with a white wash finish. The veneering layout and the panel widths have been manufactured to blend the natural veneer grains, colours and panel sizes.
