Fläkt Woods is initially supplying 7 schools in the South Lanark-shire region in Scotland. The contract involves the construc-tion and facilities management of seventeen new and two refurbished secondary schools for South Lanarkshire Council
HVAC for new schools is a complex mixture of requirements. A critical factor in specific areas is comfort cooling, with as little air movement as possible, a high degree of energy efficiency and low draught displacement.
Meeting special requirementsTo this end, Fläkt Woods technicians proposed a specific range of the companys products. This includes the EU air handlers with high efficiency fans delivering lowSFPs. The EU units feature run-around coils and plate heat-exchanger heat recovery systems. For the ceiling voids Fläkt WoodsVoidpackair handling units were selected.
Fläkt Woods is also supplying chillers which are designed for high efficiency at part load as well as at peak load to minimise the overall annual energy consumption. In educational establish-ments, cooling water is needed during periods of the year when the outdoor temperature is low. By installing a chiller with a free cooling circuit, it is possible to cool the water without running the compressors, which saves a considerable amount of energy, reducing wear and maintenance costs

Our products were accepted for their exclusive environmental properties and because, as a Company, we can provide a range of precision pro-ducts that meet every requirement of the contract.
