Benefiting from a recent refurbishment, the new automatic sliding entrance to the Sports Centre at Rugby School delivers DDA-compliant access for all pupils, staff and members of the public. The double set of two-leaf sliding doors were designed and installed by Norman and Underwood and are powered by reliable TORMAX Win Drive 2201 door operators. “We chose these doors after carefully researching the market,” comments Mike Smith, Site Manager at the School. “While there may be cheaper products available the TORMAX system looked and has proven to be, a wise choice.”

A leading co-educational facility, Rugby School has a rolling programme for upgrading the buildings, many of which are listed. In addition to replacing the original timber and glass manual swing doors at the main Sports Centre entrance, the lobby area has been refurbished with new ceilings, floor and lighting.
