Alumasc has created a stunning bespoke Skyline Fascia and Soffit system for the new DW Sports Fitness Club at St Brelades Bay Hotel in Jersey.
Overlooking one of Jerseys most popular beaches, St Brelades Bay Hotel has undergone a £10M upgrade and extension, including the addition of the impressive fitness facility which offers a luxury indoor swimming pool, 120-station gym, multi-purpose studios, spa pool and steam room.
Alumascs Technical Team made regular site visits to Jersey working alongside the contractor Deerglen and BDK Architects in the design of the Fascia Soffit system. The supply of the product was co-ordinated through Precision Plastics (Jsy) Ltd who worked closely with Alumasc throughout the project ensuring quality of service to the site. The final design features a rebated channel with secret fixings to maintain a clean, contemporary appearance, complementing the Hotels smooth lines.
Phil Lapping of Alumasc commented: This stunning project demonstrates Alumascs ability to provide conceptual input as well as technical support to help clients and architects achieve their design goals.
Skyline offers many benefits to contractors and building users both in terms of performance and fixing. Lightweight, durable and non-corrodible, the system is entirely weatherproof making it the perfect solution for the harsh demands of St Brelades exposed coastal location.
Skyline is a complete perimeter solution for new builds. Manufactured from high quality, polyester powder coated aluminium, it is available in four bold generic shapes and 16 standard colours. Bespoke shapes and designs and non-standard colours can also be produced to order.
Components are delivered to site in pre-designed kit form, and fixing can typically be carried out from the roof so no external access is required. The system also has minimal maintenance requirements and in accordance with Alumascs environmental policy, aluminium is 100% recyclable.
