Type of works: design and manufacture of washroom cubicles and vanity mirrors.
The criterion for this project was to create an imposing washroom that would enhance first impressions at this important hospital. Close liaison between Maxwood and the architect ensured use of materials that upgraded the overall tone of the institution, whilst remaining robust enough to withstand demanding use.
Imposing floor-to-ceiling cubicles with a flush front are finished in high-pressure laminate for strength and ease of cleaning. The seamless wash trough in Quaronite was designed by Maxwood, complete with grated waste system and feature glass splashback for vandal-resistant enhancement.
Floating mirrors
Large over-vanity mirrors, suspended from the wall and overhanging back-painted glass splashbacks, provide high visual impact.
Maranté cubicles
Floor-to-ceiling cubicles for maximum privacy, finished in White high-pressure laminate for ease of cleaning, with contrasting wood-grain detail to doorway reveal.
Quaronite trough
Single-piece hand-wash trough with sensor taps and specialist grated waste system to prevent unwanted materials being fed into drain system.
Premium hardware
Highly engineered stainless-steel door hardware complements minimalist appearance and maintains durability of the washroom.
