Stannah discuss the latest changes to the BRE standard

Stannah have updated their helpful blog on BREEAM New Construction 2018 (UK) credit requirements for lifts to cover the latest changes.

BREEAM is the leading sustainability assessment method for planning projects, infrastructure and buildings. Developed by the BRE, it recognises and reflects the value in developing sustainable buildings across the built environment life cycle, from new construction to post-construction and refurbishment.

Whilst the credits and criteria for passenger lifts, escalators and moving walkways haven’t changed much since the last version, there are some minor wording amendments, so it’s always worth re-familiarising yourself with the topic.

The latest 2018 published standard also incorporates new standards for safety.

As part of your BREEAM assessment, Stannah can assist you by providing running costs, environmental performance and final certificate to help get that excellent rating.

With more than 150 years of lift expertise, Stannah can support with designing and constructing sustainable future proof buildings, ultimately helping you with BREEAM certification.

Whether it's a passenger lift, escalator or moving walkway, read Stannah’s updated blog to discover how they can help you get up to three En06 credits and the best BREEAM rating score on your building project.
