Stannah Lifts Distribution & Service has introduced a new structure designed to deliver a simpler, more seamless experience for customers across its full lift portfolio.
The £100m division, with over 150 years of expertise and a 6th generation family owned lift company, has brought its passenger lifts, platform lifts, and service and goods lifts together into a single unified New Lifts division, bringing together engineering expertise across multiple lift types within a single coordinated delivery model. The move makes it easier for specifiers, contractors and clients to access the full range of vertical lift solutions through one supplier.
By aligning its products and technical expertise under one division, Stannah strengthens its position as the only UK lift company able to offer a complete suite of vertical transportation solutions under one roof. The structure is intended to simplify specification, improve coordination and support a more consistent experience across the entire lift lifecycle — from design and installation through to maintenance and modernisation.
For consultants and specifiers, the integrated model provides clearer technical guidance earlier in the process, helping to reduce redesign and project risk. For contractors, it offers a single point of accountability to support smoother programme delivery. Building owners and asset managers benefit from more consistent long-term support and planning across their lift portfolios.
Stannah’s Major Projects division will continue to deliver complex infrastructure programmes and technically demanding installations, including work for Network Rail and landmark schemes such as the Elizabeth Tower at the Houses of Parliament, working alongside the New Lifts division.
Archie Hungwe, CEO of Stannah Lifts & Distribution Service, said,
“Our focus remains on technical expertise, operational excellence and safety. As projects become more complex, the need for early-stage technical clarity is increasingly important. Aligning our new lift activities under a single division strengthens how we support customers across specification, delivery and ongoing service, and helps ensure we meet compliance, safety and performance requirements from design through to operation.”
Graham Mears, General Manager of the New Lifts division, who has extensive experience across lift installation and project delivery, added:
“Bringing our lift products and engineering expertise together allows us to provide clearer technical guidance and a more coordinated approach for projects approach across design, installation and delivery — from standard installations through to more complex requirements.”
