Stannah wins RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Award

The Stannah Group has been awarded a sixth consecutive RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Award in 2014. The Gold Medal award in the prestigious annual scheme run by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) will be presented during a ceremony at ExCeL London on June 17 where Stannah will also be exhibiting at the Facilities Show.

As the UK’s family safety charity, RoSPA’s mission is to save lives and reduce injuries in all ages and stages of life. In support of this mission, the RoSPA Awards, which date back 58 years, recognise commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention at work.

The majority of RoSPA’s awards are non-competitive, grading achievement at merit, bronze, silver and gold levels. Organisations that maintain high standards in consecutive years can win gold medals, president‘s awards and orders of distinction.

Jon Stannah, Joint Managing Director of Stannah Lift Services and Group Board Member comments:

'We are delighted to gain a sixth RoSPA gold award. My thanks and congratulations go to our outstanding health and safety teams who ensure we continue to look after the safety of our customers, the users of our lift equipment, our staff and our engineers to a ‘gold standard’. Safety is and always has been Stannah’s first priority and is the essence of our business brand and our day to day operations.’
