Broxap supplied a set of stylish steel framed timber benches to Birmingham City University’s Parkside Building.

The benches were positions strategically around Level 2, creating a bespoke seating solution below the central courtyard.

The Parkside Building replaces BIAD’s former accommodation at Gosta Green and completes Phase 1 of Birmingham City University’s redevelopment programme.

The wider masterplan at Eastside aims to create a centre for learning, heritage, arts, and culture, in Birmingham and the West Midlands.

The new Parkside building connects with the University’s accommodation within Millennium Point and benefits from facing directly onto City Park.

The central courtyard located on Level 3, provides private respite and social space for students and is sub-divided into a series of outdoor rooms through the use of levels, bespoke furniture and large tree planters.
