Stone Church Furniture for the Little Sisters of the Poor

The architects Daniel Hurd Associates commissioned two sets of ecclesiastical furniture for this order of nuns. Both sets consisted of altar, lectern, tabernacle and icon shelf, but they were made in different designs and stones.

St Peter's Residence, Vauxhall
This residential home for the elderly run by the Little Sisters of the Poor was visited by the Pope on this recent visit to the UK. stoneCIRCLE manufactured the altar and other furniture in Jura Beige limestone, a hard limestone from Germany.

St Anne's Home, Stoke Newington
For the convent church the nuns commissioned stone furniture in Travertino Classico in a squarer design than that supplied for St. Peters.
