Stonehealth systems conserves pub from late Middle Ages

Stonehealth was chosen for the refurbishment project of The Cross Keys Pub in Notley.

Conservation was key as this sturdy property was built around the 1400’s.

The external paint was eliminated by the DOFF System, but upon removal it showed that the brickwork was overcoated with a limewash. The owner of the pub wanted to expose the original, more appealing brickwork so the TORC machine was used to strip away the limewash and clean up the brickwork.
