F. Ball’s Stopgap 300 HD is a rapid-setting, heavy-duty levelling compound that is designed for use in areas subject to high foot traffic and heavy loads. This makes it ideal for creating a perfectly smooth base for floorcoverings in applications subject to high levels of foot traffic and heavy wheeled loads, including walkways, corridors and other busy areas.
It is suitable for preparing a wide range of sound absorbent and non-absorbent subfloors, prior to the installation of new floorcoverings.
Stopgap 300 HD’s heavy-duty performance is due to its extremely high compressive strength. This inherent strength is also important when installing certain types of floorcovering such as wood, since the flooring expands and contracts as a result of environmental factors (e.g. changes in temperature and humidity).
Stopgap 300 HD’s strength enables it to withstand the stresses and strains exerted by the natural movements of wood floorcoverings over the lifetime of the installation.
Stopgap 300 HD has excellent self-levelling properties and can be pump-applied up to 1500 m2 per day, dependent upon manpower, thickness applied and equipment used – convenient when preparing large floor areas often found in schools and colleges, hospitals, airport terminals and leisure venues.
It is also low odour, so that it can be used while nearby areas remain in-use. The levelling compound is also protein and latex free, making it suitable for use in biologically sensitive settings.
