A functional, modern washroom design featuring Quantum toilet cubicles.

The project
Located close to Stratford-upon-Avon, Stratford Garden Centre is a vibrant independent garden centre that also features a small shopping village and restaurant. The garden centre recently underwent a large extension and as part of this project decided to undergo a complete refurbishment of their toilet facilities, replacing and modernising the female, male and accessible toilets.

The challenge
The previous washrooms were dated and in need of a complete overhaul. The garden centre required a modern and functional design suitable for use by all their visitors. Most importantly, the washroom facilities needed to be hardwearing and durable enough to withstand high footfall and regular cleaning.

Venesta Accredited Installers, T-IPS, were appointed to carry out the complete installation of the new commercial washroom facilities.

The solution
Stratford Garden Centre specified Venesta Quantum toilet cubicles in Solid Grade Laminate (SGL), an ideal choice as it’s an impact and water resistant material well suited to heavy footfall areas such as retail premises and public facilities.

Designed with maximum flexibility in mind, Quantum is a popular choice with many due to the array of colours and finishes available. The garden centre’s toilet cubicles were specified in our ‘Weathered Grey’ wood effect SGL, complemented by pilasters and partitions in ‘Suede’. Not stopping there, Quantum has a modern floating appearance for a sleek, minimal washroom design.

The toilet cubicles feature universal rise and fall butt hinges which ensure the doors fall closed when not in use to allow for uniformity across the cubicles and showcase the ‘floating’ effect. The cubicles are framed by a sculpted, satin anodised aluminium headrail, adding a robust but stylish finishing touch to the overall design.

As well as looking good, Venesta toilet cubicles also offer peace of mind when it comes to safety. A key feature of Quantum is the emergency release indicator bolts, meaning access can be gained in the event of an emergency, without the need for removing or damaging the doors and pilasters.

For a seamless design throughout each of the washrooms our pre-plumbed panelling system Vepps was specified in complementing ‘Weathered Grey’. Pre-plumbed and fully tested at our factory, Vepps made for quick and easy on-site installation of the panel mounted toilets, urinals and basins with the panels ‘click-fixed’ into place in no time at all. A perfect option for the renovation to ensure installation timescales were easily kept in-line with the rest of the garden centre extension project.

A bespoke solid surface washtrough was specified for the male toilets where a space-saving option was required. Solid surface vanities provide a hardwearing solution for commercial washrooms and can withstand regular and thorough cleaning.

To complete the refurbishment, a separate accessible toilet facility was installed with Vepps SGL panelling, housing the pre-plumbed and fully tested toilets with accompanying backrest and grab rails.

It was a pleasure to provide the complete washroom package for this project, which has created a modern and inviting toilet facility for the staff and guests at Stratford Garden Centre.
