Furnitubes street furniture manufacturers have designed a hands-free, mechanical, hand sanitizer dispenser for use in offices, factories, schools, shopping centres and even public realm areas such as high streets and parks. Furnitubes adapted its Zenith bollard, to accommodate large refillable hand sanitizer bottles.

Catherine Barratt, Managing Director at Furnitubes said: ‘With businesses, retailers and schools now preparing to re-open, demand for hand sanitizer stations will surge. We wanted to use our design and precision metal manufacturing skills, to create a hand sanitizer dispenser that was more hygienic and sustainable than the usual sanitizing gel holders or automatic dispensers.”

The Zenith hand sanitizer dispenser is foot-pedal operated, minimizing the risk of contamination. It is also 100% mechanical, so there are no-battery requirements, meaning it is cheaper and better for the environment.

Barratt added: “In a challenging economic climate, we’re glad we could innovate and keep our Kent factory running, whilst contributing to people going back to work and resuming normal life.”

The Zenith hand sanitizer dispenser is part of a broader range of street furniture, including benches, picnic tables, cycle stands, litter bins and bollards. It can be fixed to the ground, for extra safety, in high footfall areas.
